Question:

Windows Movie Maker & DVD playback question...?

I've edited many .wmv and .avi video files (that i've captured on a videocamera-miniDV) on Windows Movie Maker. After editing i've always saved the final product to a .wmv file and then stored it on a "CD-R" disk. I was hoping to play the video on my DVD player, but my DVD player (and many others) cannot read the disk. Is it the file format of the disk to blame?

  2. You would have to author a DVD conforming to the DVD standard - some info here:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD_authori...

fortunately, most DVD burning software also has DVD authoring capabilities that makes the process easy.
