Alright, I'm using Windows Movie Maker and have a handheld camera plugged in. But when I hit 'Capture from video device', it says that a device isn't detected and to make sure it's plugged in and try again. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Thank you, I really need help. :P

  1. Stop using USB and use Firewire. You probably have to install a firewire card - cheap and easy if you have an available PCI slot (desktop) or PCMCIA slot (laptop).

  2. Stop using USB and use Firewire
