Windows Movie Maker not working! =.[ Please help!?

My Windows Movie Maker is not working... when i click the Import Media and click under my videos, nothing shows up... so i have to go down to where it says File Name, and go to the right and click All Files, and then they show up. It says my vids are saved as .MOV. And when i go to preview the vid, it plays it, but ALL black! and i can drag the vid into the timeline, but it still only plays it black! please please help! im desperate! and i have windows Vista... but i always have had it and ive used WMM b4 a long time ago on one video, and it worked.. but now it wont work anymore.

Please Please PLEASE help me!! please!

Ah another vista problem, I had this happen, it has to do with a vista update that you need to remove

i think that's because the program is corrupting . you should try downloading it from the internet or maybe buy it from a computer store
