This has been a serious headache. I have previously successfully made videos with Windows MovieMaker (WMM). I have a good video card and a good (new) computer. I am now making a short video (5 minutes). To do this, I previously converted camcorder .vob video to .mpeg, so that WMM will import it. At a key point in the <published> video (but NOT in the video of the work-product) the video freezes up (although the audio track and any embedded titles keep going). What have I tried? 1) I have tried reloading the video into the timeline. 2) I have split the offending video into segments. 3) I have even (this is now officially witchcraft) cut segments and then repasted them. Maybe I should be using something like Pinnacle 11 instead? No, really, is there a fix for my video?
