I got this computer about a year ago and I am having so many problems with it mostly it just freezes and then I wait forever to see if it stops but of course it never dose so I am wondering if there is some thing that could be causing it?? I don’t think it is a viruses because I have protective stuff and I never get pop ups so I have no clue what it could be I had to restart my computer 3 times in the last hour!!! Help!!!

Also (for windows vista) when you turn it on and it loads the screen that you log in at and put your pass word how do you change the background??? I have tried looking everywhere and I cant find it under properties or appearance I know how to change the icon but not the background…

Thankxs so much for helping =]

  2. It is not possible to say what the exact reason could be.

    1. H/W , low on RAM, or just low ram speed.

Try deactivating the AeroGlass theme if u have it on.

Also if possible add more ram, faster (dont mix rams of diff speeds)

    2. S/W Too many apps r running in the background &

hence ur system  is unable to handle them.

U need to do some cleanup.

Use this simple tool package.(15-day trial, fully functional)

Run some of the tools under Cleaner & Optimizer

Later run a fullsystem scan with ur AV

  3. First of all, you must have downloaded too much things or files! Try going to the control panel and uninstall some unneeded stuff! It will become more faster!

Second, when you get to the desktop. Right click on the background and it will say personalize and then there will be screen savers and background/wallpapers! Have Fun!

  4. It could be hardware; it could be software; it could be an interaction with a localized source of EM radiation (such as a nearby fluorescent lamp or an air ionizer, etc).

I would suggest taking Windows out of the picture temporarily by booting from a free LiveCD such as Knoppix ( http://www.knoppix.com ), which will temporarily (without making any permanent changes to your system) boot up an entire Linux-based system. If the machine freezes while running from the LiveCD, you know you've got a hardware problem, and will need to send the computer in to be serviced; if the machine does not freeze while running from the LiveCD, you can be fairly certain the problem is in Windows itself; in such a case, it might be quicker/easier just to use whatever "restore to factory-fresh" method your computer maker has provided (but be sure to first backup anything you want to keep).
