Windows Vista & Uninstalling Games?

Question

Does anybody know why uninstalling games (such as my Rail Simulator) takes so long on Windows Vista compared to Windows XP or earlier operating systems?

I've only uninstalled one game, Rail Simulator, since purchasing a new computer a few weeks ago with Windows Vista. I just don't understand why uninstallation takes an hour?

Has anybody else had this experience? Is it normal?

i have had no trouble at all uninstalling with vista.

a good tip on any operating system is to always delete programs off line.

many programs trigger a link to their web site when you go to uninstall them.

there are 2 good vista web sites (Q and A's style)they are~

"it's vista"

"vista4beginners"

that may help you with any future query's.
