Windows Vista ethernet drivers

I cant work out why the Ethernet drivers didn't install on my laptop. it wasn't connected when i re installed vista. It lists 4 devices that didn't install: Coprocessor, 2 Ethernet Controllers and an SM Bus Controller. any help would be appreciated in getting these working

  1. can you go into device manager and try to manually update the drivers?


  2. 1) identify the appropriate driver.  You should find it at the laptop manufacturer's web site.

    2) download it

    3) transfer it to the PC with a flash drive

  3. Do you have the recovery CD that came with the laptop? It may hold the drivers you require. If you do not have access to the drivers, you need to find out what make those hardware are and find the Vista drivers for them.
