Windows Vista problems Trying to install hp all in-one-printer.?

I have a HP Deskjet F2100 All-in-One Series, and I am trying to install it into my new laptop, which it has Windows Vista running. Every time I try to install it, it tells me there's an error and that it needs some extension file or something like that, I think because the printer is not compatible with windows vista. So how can I make it to work properly with windows vista, I just purchased this printer in January and I really do not have money to buy me another one that will work well with my windows vista right now. Is there a solution or I definitely have to buy one that will be compatible. If there is not solution I am thinking of selling my printer in craigslist and buy me another one with that money.

Please help.

Also what are some good and affordable all in one printers out there compatible with windows vista.

  1. Darn Vista!  Try going to where you bought the laptop or printer and ask for advice.  Maybe you can go find your printer online and see if it is compatible or has any troubleshooting or upgrades for Vista users

  2. When you say install it, are you talking about plugging it into your computer, or are you talking about the CD disk it comes with?

Your printer seems to be compatible with Vista.

  3. Here are the Window Vista printer drivers from the HP web site for your printer. Just select the Version of Windows Vista you have and download the drivers and your printer should work. If not delete the drivers that you have already installed and start all over again. Sometimes it takes more than 1 try to get the printer to install correctly.
