can u rip and burn a dvd on vista? i don't have a vista yet but i'm getting one soon.....and i always rip and burn dvds i rent on my xp (i don't sell the burnt copies, it's just for my entertainment).......

  1. well yes and no.

    in vista you would need to use a 3rd party software (dvd shrink or something like that) because vista is too smart and knows your trying to copy a copyrighted disc, so if you try using something like media player it wont let you rip the disk.

    Oh Wayby the way your still breaking the law. Even though you dont distrubute the material you copy, the copying of  the disc is illeagal
