Windows XP Screen saver help?

I am currently using Windows XP Tablet Edition but when i go to change my screen saver time, ti is locked so i cant choose how long i want my CPU to idle before the screens saver comes on I am part of a school and i think that they might have locked it, is there any way i can unlock it?

  1. That'll be one for your school IT guy / systems administrator to answer, I'm afraid. Working in a college myself I find that they usually lock the time down for some reason (though not what the screensaver is itself, so I can write something terribly offensive in "Marquee", but can't make it come on any earlier or later than 10 minutes). XP is reasonably tight so if there's a way around it, it might not be too easy.

  3. Go to display properties and Go to the Screen Saver tab, and uncheck the "On resume, password protect" box (you'll see it circled in the screenshot below). To leave the password protection but extend the time before a password is required, increase the minutes in the "Wait" box on that tab and leave the password protect box checked.
