Question:

Windows XP Video Capture?

I need a way to capture the computer screen action into a movie file. For example, when I start a program, and then click on a button, and it opens up a Word Document, and then I type something. Sort of like the Print Screen button only I want to capture video.

I want to cut this video into an MPEG video of a person sitting in front of a keyboard typing.

I'm not looking for Video Editing software, although if you have one that is free and easy and useful, feel free to recommend it!

  1. I think Democreator is a wonderful screen recorder for you.Maybe that is the easiest screen recorder I used. This screen recorder can add the tutorial instruction for you automatically. It  is mainly used to create tutorials on how to use software (like tutorial for MS-Word/Excel, Photoshop etc). With Democreator, you can capture screen shots, add explanations boxes, buttons, titles etc and generate a stunning tutorial in minutes. And finally, we can publish the AVI or SWF format to show to others.

  2. I recommend CamStudio. http://www.camstudio.org

I think it is only a trial version with water marks so I downloaded the full version from uTorrent.
