Windows XP failure to access internet.?

Question

I heard that computers with Windows XP are going through an update of some sort where they are unable to access the internet. I also heard something about Zonealarm. What do i do?

Disable any firewall installed in your pc & try again. If you really need a firewall, you have to reconfigure it.

set zone to medium through firewall controls and programs .... the update from our great micro soft messed with zone alarm i just renewed zapro today have no problems ...go to zonealarm site and check out whats to happen with this problem ...

I had exactly the same problem.

My internet was connected, however ZoneAlarm wasnt even letting anything access the internet.

Then I shut off ZoneAlarm and the internet started to work again.

You might want to try unininstalling ZoneAlarm and getting a different firewall, or you might just try not having a firewall at all!
