Windows XP internet help?

When I click on a link of yahoo messenger or other application that has links nothing happens, I that its because of the fire wall but It cant be because its off could my Avira anti-virus be the problem

It could be as simple as you've got a pop-up blocker on. I think the default for these was hold control and click on your link while still holding control and in a few seconds it should show up.

Try opening up your web browser before you click the links to see if thats the problem as well as I sometimes get problems with firefox not being able to keep up.

It must be your pop-up blocker.

If you are using fire fox the go to Tools->options->Content and uncheck Block pop-up. and then press OK

You could go into the log file for your anti virus and see if that is the thing that's blocking it.
