  1. Mup is the last thing to be loaded, so it's not very informative that it froze there.  However, if you are in a business environment..

    Meaning:

    - your PC is part of a domain

    - your files are often saved to a file server (not to My Documents)

    - there are Group Policies applied from Active Directory

    .        ..then you may have to set DFS to "enabled."  

    This is a registry entry that I don't recommend you try yourself unless you're the IT person at your company.

    Only do this if you are part of a domain, and your IT organization uses Active Directory.  Otherwise the setting is not helpful.

    Generally, when a PC won't boot, it's helpful to use Recovery Console and do a check disk, followed by a fixboot.  Then, once the file system is readable again, do a defrag.  You may need to run check disk more than once to fix a PC.
