Windows XP won't start because someone turned off the computer while it was downloading updates.....?

How do I get Windows to start again??

push the power button. this will probably be located on the front of your computer if you are using a desktop, or the top or maybe some side if you are using a laptop. MAKE SURE your computer is plugged in when you push the power button. push it gently as well. this might help.

if u had tried the safe mode and still its same then before ur pc goes away for a windows boot press the F8 button and then select last know good configuration.if it dosnt get solved by this u need to reinstall

I would go to safe mode press F8key while computer is booting. Then go to  "control panel " add remove programs and uninstall all upgrades for the date it was stopped reboot and try again to down load

Go to the microsoft site to do upgrades as it checks you computer for needed upgrades not wanted ones

how far do you get on the loading?  does it load the welcome screen?  did you try safe mode? if not then go to safe mode with networking, and download the rest of the updates. it might work then.
