Windows antivirus 2008 help

Question

I had the antivirus 2008 virus on my computer and was able to kill every symptom but one: I still can't browse firefox because it always redirects me to the viruses website.

How do I find and remove it?

I tried to get rid of that thing for 3 days. Eventually I just purchased SpySweeper, which really did get rid of it. I'm sorry your computer has this... because I certainly feel your pain.

It is still there.KIliing the symptoms does not help at all. It comes back

You need to get rid of the soft ware. It has set up it own file. I managed to delete it by making a new folder in its own file and then moving all the contents to the new file.

I then moved the file in  in to  its own diretory and then deleted it and then undid the symptoms

Next time check to see if the software you want download is on download.com, if it is, its safe.(As windows antivirus 2008 is not)
