Windows cannot recogonize blank disk

Question

windows cannot recogonize blank disk in drive E. I downloaded an up to date driver and windows cannot burn a disk because no recordable drive could be found. windows also tells me that I do not have a diskdrive capable of burning a CD or DVD. I previously downloaded pictures off my camera and was able to burn them to disk. the disks are not the problem as they work on another computer.
