  2. Do you have another AntiSpyware program besides Windows Defender? I hope you do, Windows Defender couldn't protect you computer from a spitball attack and usually detects nothing when in fact  your computer might be infected. I had the same problem I set it for automatic scanning sometimes it works and sometimes it don't I don't think there's anything you can do about it.  Make sure you have a real good AntiVirus and AntiSpyware program.

  3. Your computer might be infected with virus. Hence i would suggest you to run an online scan from http://www.geeksjunction.com to check your computer for viruses. If the scan results is null then reinstall the software.

  4. once restore ur system at a before os installation restore point.k

  5. usually t will scan your computer in the taskbar , but if it has a weird setting you can re-install it

  6. Try to reconfigure your WD setting, and forget not to click apply and ok button before you close the windows screen. and make sur that your PC is up and running on that selected period of time.

  7. Windows Defender is not an effective anti-virus.

    Try avast.

It is a very effective and free anti-virus program.
