i want 2 put a password on it so only i can open it. when i click on the envelope sign on task-bar it cums up and asks for my windows live addy, if i cancel it, it still opens and brings the messages up even tho it says i,m not sign'd in

well if its your own comp put a password on ur profile so that no one else can access it. users logging on user a guest profile or a profile specifically for them would not be able to access your mail.
