Windows live messenger keeps shuting

Question

windows live messenger keeps shuting down, but before it does it comes up with a box that says windows live messenger has encounted an error and needs to close. We have uninstalled and reinstalled it half a dozen time and still the same thing. Can you tell me why it's doing it and how to fix it please
