Windows live one care.

Question

this is probably such a bum-*** question but i just wanna be sure. i downloaded it to do a full service scan. is it just a scanner like ccleaner or will this protected my comp like avg etc. ?

Wouldn't bother with it to be honest - just another piece of software that Microsoft can use to keep an eye on you.

Junk it and keep with CCleaner and perhaps change your AVG to AVAST anti virus - still free and better

If you have downloaded the full version, rather than just do a safety scan, or a protection scan, etc then you are fully protected. I have had Live Onecare on all of my computers for well over a year, having firstly tried it first and then buying it, and it has kept all my computers completely clear. That's not to say though you don't need additional antispyware which you do and I have Super Antispyware which stops all the rubbish coming through.

Total rubbish. I ran along side Spybot and AVG and whilst their scans would reveal low security risk items, the "One Care" never picked up anything. A complete waste of time waiting for the scan to reveal NOTHING time after time. Glad to hear I`m not the only one. Uninstall the "One couldn`t care less"!
