Windows media player not completing function?

i am trying to burn a music CD i have a recordable disc and i've done everything correctly (i've done this before) after i dragged and dropped the songs to my burn list i went to click start burn but nothing happened it is un-clickable. normally it would light up but it failed to do so and i clicked it anyways but go figure it did nothing.

This might sound silly but are you sure you clicked on Burn 1st and you weren't just creating a play list? I just done it a minute ago and all I did was click Burn, dragged them over and pressed start burn.
