  1. sounds like you have an issue with not enough physical memory installed.  Look on my website under youtube for a video showing you haw to check

  2. It depends on the type of the clip you are trying to watch,

for example if you are watching the video file from a Cd that has scratches, it will behave that way

    2. Sometimes it is the video file, some need latest codecs of player to play well. For example if you downloaded the file from the internet and it is not encoded or converted, it will act that way.

    3. Paging memory file is another important thing, to verify that your media player delays in playing video, install a different one if you have or download. Alternative, you can play with windows player 2, by opening video file with, steps> right click on the clip and click open with, click browse, open windows media player folder and mplayer2. If it still delays in opening faster, Do this

    1. Make sure you close all other programs on your machine before opening video file and refresh for some minutes b4 taking action.

    b. You have a lot of programs on your machine that uses much of your memory, therefore the paging file memory is low and not enough for player to play video since it needs much memory and graphic memory. Uninstall some programs you don't need or use often.

    c. perform disk clean up, add more memory to your machine, You can get one in a computer shop, insert it to machine and it will perform better.

    d. Download and use media player 9/10/11 and make sure you download codecs so that you can play varieties of video clips of most formats.

    e. click start menu, click run, type dxdiag, click on display (tab), if the memory for graphic (direct draw) is low, download graphic/display driver to have a better graphic.Use google to search ur graphic memory incase you don't the site to your machine brand.

  3. Like bitsnadbytes says ..you might not have enough memory..Could also be if you have a lot of programs running at one time..try to shut off the ones you don't need ie; in the task bar..also hit the cntrl alt delete buttons to see what is slowing down your computer..the more programs that are running of course are the reasons your media player is taking so long. Also try removing some programs you don't necessarily want.

  4. try restarting your computer
