Windows movie maker help please??

heyy friend i have a problem with windows movie maker 2 for xp.. when i import music file in it, it says "C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\My Music\Daljit_Mattu__-_Ja_ni_chootiyeh.mp... could not be imported. Unspecified error".. when i import video file in it, it says" The file C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\My Videos\M2U00327.MPG cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again".. when i import photos in it, it says" C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\My Pictures\body.jpg could not be imported. Unspecified error" what should i do?? help please..

  1. Not really got an answer for you but I had a similar experience.  When importing an AVI file I got same error.  Converting the AVI to a DivX AVI seemed to fix it.

  3. A: Outside of WMM, can you open the song, video, and picture? The files are good, right?

    B: Are the files in the right place? Have you moved them, or are they exactly where you are pointing?

    C: In WMM, there is an Option that you check that says 'Download codec automatically'. You could try that.

    D: Restart your computer. Who knows, it might help?
