Windows movie maker update, is there something wrong with it?? Is it really necesary?

so, i make a lot of videos for youtube, and i use windows movie maker to edit them. now, i've heard some rumors that there is a new upgrade or whatever for it, and i've also heard that the upgrade sux.... i've heard that it messes up your whole windows movie maker system. is this true? I really need to be able to edit videos, so should i upgrade, or is there a chance the whole thing will be ruined?

I got the upgrade.. with no problems. Just make sure you have all other updates from MS first. Then after you get movie maker upgrade... restart your PC.. and check MS Update again.
