  1. If you look on the side of your computer the access code should be there for windows on a sticker. Along with other imformation.

If not call the company you purchased it from and they should give it to you.

  2. OK. Exactly how are you getting this message? Is it a pop-up window on your desktop? or is it through the Microsoft update site where you have to validate your copy of windows?

If it is a pop-up window then go here: http://www.grc.com/stm/shootthemessenger... and download the program and it'll tell you whether or not the dreaded messenger service is enabled and will disable it for you if it is on.

If it is through the update site then it may mean you have a counterfeit copy of windows.

Also run any or all of the anti spyware programs you have on your system.

  3. Where did you buy it from - a shop - Ebay ???

A shop = go back to them

Ebay = common problem - second hand computers and illegally downloaded copies of Windows software will alert Micorsoft via the update or registration process - I think you can use the software three times before Microsoft blocks it - so, if your computer has been used and the software regisitered three times - i.e. because of hard drive failures and the reinstalled - Microsoft will block it.

The number on the base/side of the PC will be you activation code - you may need tocontact Microsoft direct to obtain a new code if the PC/software is genuine

The number is on the website and is automated - you just type in the numbers on your PC sticker and a new number will be generated to activate and stop the nag reminders

  4. http://support.microsoft.com/contactus/?... - call customer service. They should help you - the problem may be in Microsoft's servers, which are checking genuine of your Windows.

  5. try installing a pop up blocker.

there are some "phissers" using this ploy to get you to buy a "legal" copy .

you will not get a copy they just want your bank details,

after 2 years ~it would sugest your copy is good.

be well aware the old scams are being replaced.

  6. You are really using a pirated version of the operating system. So if you want to remove the warning message, you really have to crack it once more or reinstall the operating system.

    Thank You

  7. You can take your computer back to a point were it was working okay with SYSTEM RESTORE WIZARD.  If your not sure what to do type it into search box after you click on START button.

Your system will reboot and go back to the setting that was on the date you set.  Once the problem has been done don't ask for window updates as it will download the problem again.
