Windows vista apple bootcamp error message?

Question

when using apple boot camp to boot windows vista on my imac I get a start up message about an unrecognised partition on volume, it says to reformat using valid FDISK tool and err=4

how do I stop it from doing this?? It eventually boots into vista after telling me this same message about 4 times.
