Windows vista errors etc.?

Question

windows vista is getting very annoying it keeps making em think my computer is a peice of c**p when it really windows vista.

Is there any way i can make windows vista work better without haveing to downgrade to xp or get another computer. cause my computers always frezzing i keep haveing frequent windows explorer has stoped working issues it getting very anoying any help?
