  1. That wont work that cd is only if you have vista on your pc and would like to upgrade it to a better vista... Trust me i got one with my Sony Vaio laptop and with my XPS desktop... Don't buy it

  2. It will work but it will be like walking up to your armpits in treacle! Vista is power hungry on resources and the XP platform hardware was not designed to run Vista.

Like the RAM for example. XP will run quite happily on 256 Mb, but Vista needs a minimum of 1 Gb to run but it is recommended to run with 2 Gb to run properly.

Personally I wouldn't bother, it's not worth the grief!

  3. dude, just but a legitimate copy. dont fool around with anything stupid like that. its not worth the hassle in the long run cause microsoft will find out and they will shut you down just like they did my cracked version of office2007

  4. go-to microsoft web site and run a vista compatibility

this will show if you have any weak areas on your pc, fix these weakness then retest.

do not use unless you pc is at the recommended or above.

if you are only at the minimum then it will not be a good idea to change over to vista.

avoid secondhand software without cd keys

  5. it won't. get an old copy of vista and upgrade the service pack... or just stick with xp... or go to linux.

  6. No activation key = no Vista, never buy a disk without an activation key, you are just waisting your time and money.

  7. It should work.

Go to a nearby computer repair store or computer store, and ask!

    They will surely help you.

But the computers at my school were XP, and they were then upgraded to vista!

So yeah, i think it will work.

But ask your closest computer shop person (lol) just to make sure.

    Hope i helped.

  8. THIS IS NOT upgrade from XP to Vista . This is upgrade if you already have Vista in your system, the guy could be right it works with any version (means any version  of Vista you have already installed)

since you just have Xp this is not for you do not waste your money,

make sure you have at least 2Gig or Ram memory in your PC.

  9. You can install it. But, you will have to pay differently for a new license key. I suggest you don't go for Vista because it has a lot of problems. Vista works good only on branded laptops and desktops when it's installed by their manufacturers, because it's designed for Vista and all the drivers are available which we won't get if we install it by ourself.

  10. im pretty sure it will work

  11. First if it has no activation key it will refuse to activate, this will make the machine lock in 30 days from install. you would then need to buy a licence from Microsoft, at which stage you will be penalised on price, as what you have installed is illegal. Even if you managed to get round this, you will NEVER be able to get any essential updates, which for Vista will be fatal to the security of your machine.
