    all you really have to do is reformat the hard drive and install xp on it. not very hard. have fun =)


  2. *IF* you can get all the drivers for your hardware in XP version (not always possible), and *IF* the XP installation disk doesn't blue-screen during installation (it will on some of the newer hardware), you can install XP over Vista, or as an additional OS in another partition or on another drive.  I have one desktop set up that way (quintuple boot, actually - Vista, XP, 98 and 2 different Linux distros), but my Vista laptop won't even get to the first prompt on an XP installation CD (although I have 2 instances of Ubuntu on it).

    Do you mean if you can downgrade from Vista to XP? I'm not sure you can. Never tried it but you can install XP on your current system a dual boot or a clean installation. If you try any of the above don't forget to back up.
