Windows vista updates fail to install?

Question

I have to download them manually, why do they fail to install.

Any suggestions what to do please. Thx you.

Email microsoft directly would be the best thng.

go to start, control panel, Windows Updates, on the sidebar it should say "Change Settings" click it, and check off "Install updates Automatically" and set it to a time when your ccomputer is mostly on then press OK then on the sidebar again press check for updates.

This could be related to numerous issues. It could be the Automatic Update settings, or if it's a work PC, the administrators may have disabled your update access, but not disabled Automatic Updates, or it could be related to User Account Control.

Do you receive a specific error message? If so, I would recommend entering the exact error message as your search term in Yahoo!, if you haven't already. Or, if you can give us more details, we may be able to point you in the right direction.
