Windows xp, on start up i get a message saying no firewall turned on click this button to fix....

when I do, the firewall IS turned on! Any one know how to stop getting this message and why I am getting this message

  1. stamp your foot through the screen twice that will cure it for sure


  2. I agree with Woody. Check and make sure your anti-virus/spyware software's security settings match your Windows settings and be sure to let Windows remain in control of your Firewall.

    It could just be a glitch, run all your Windows Updates, reboot, and see if that helps.

  3. sounds like a trojun or spyware of some sort....  run adaware and get rid!

  4. How many firewalls are running? Any from security software you added? You only want one running or there will be issues.
