  1. Right click anywhere on your desktop, click Properties, go to Screen Saver, and here you can choose how long you can be idle before the screen turns black, and what you want your Screen Saver to look like!

If you don't want to need to type your password after the screen saver, go to the same place and un-check the box that says, "On resume, display Welcome screen."

  2. Right Click Desktop. Click Properties. Click Screen Saver Tab. Change the wait (##) minutes and disable the on resume, password protect.

  3. On the desktop screen, right click it then click the Properties, click the Screen Savers tab then scroll up the minutes in the Wait section. Then disable the password protect on Resume.

    It Should Help You.

  6. Some good answers below!

If you don't want your screen to turn off AT ALL (it will go to the screen saver you've chosen after the "idle time" you've set, or the screen will simply stay on...

Go to the Screen Saver Display mode (as others haev directed [right click on desktop, select Screen Saver tab],

but instead of adjusting the time in "Settings", go to the "Power" button below. At the bottom of the Power screen, you can select a time period for the screen to turn itself off.

If you open that list (click the down arrow on the right), you can go to the very bottom of the list and select for the screen to NEVER turn itself off.

      Good luck!
