Windows xp service pack 2 I have to reinstall...

I have windows xp sp1 on my computer but also have the disk for windows sp2. I thought I could just upgrade to sp2 but I have to do a full installation, could you tell me if I do this will I loose everything from my c drive or wont I.Please adviseThanks
