  1. This sort of worked for me. I just restored my computer back to an earlier date, before I downloaded the virus.

Just go to "accessories," then "system tools," and finally "system restore."

The virus will still be there, but it kind of minimizes the spam and adware that it creates.

  2. Could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. This  problem can be solved by uninstalling new softwares, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes . From http://fixit.in/bluescreenofdeath.html . You can also run a free registry scan using utilities from http://re7.info

  3. Agree with mostly what cotojo said, but you should turn off system restore before you do all the scans. You might be able to  turn off system restore in safe mode - this is where the malware often hide. Once you've gotten rid of everything, then turn system restore back on.

Do start, accessories, system tools, system restore, system restore setting and then tick 'turn off system restore in all drives'. Do the scans and then go back in and turn it back on.

  4. Boot into Safe Mode with networking and download the following:

    RogueRemover:

    http://www.download.com/RogueRemover/300...

Download, install, update, scan and follow on screen prompts.

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Removes Antivirus:

    http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Ant...

Download, install, update and select Full Scan.

Remove all infections that it finds after scan.

    Spybot S&D:

Download, install, update and Immunize, then click 'Check for problems' then when complete select all and then 'Fix Checked'

Spyware Doctor Free Basic Edition - Realtime monitoring:

    http://pack.google.com/intl/en/pack_inst...

Its free with Google pack, untick all boxes except Spyware Doctor. Download install, update and run.

    SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition:

    http://www.download.com/SUPERAntiSpyware...

Download, install, check for updates, then select Scan your Computer, select your drive and select Perform Complete Scan

Lavasoft Virtumonde Remover will find and clean the variants of the Virtumonde (a.k.a Vundo Trojan), that integrate tightly with the operating system, causing some scanners to bluescreen windows

If your desktop has changed or icons are missing also use:

    Wallpaper Hijacker Removal Tool:

    or  BitDefender;

If so, download, install and run a full scan with Malwarebytes

    http://www.malwarebytes.org

Run a full scan with Micro Trend House Call

After the scans, restart the PC and update your anti-virus, remember to only have one anti-virus installed on your PC
