WindowsMediaPlayer Pause/Play stuttering?

Question

Whenever I pause or play a file, the pause/play button will freeze up for a little while even though the file continues to play (annoying when you get interrupted constantly), no idea why it started either.

check task manager to see what else is running on your computer and using processor time
