Question:

Windshields....?

I have a windshield, seal and mounting trim off of a 1956 16' Cherokee Runabout Speedboat in very good condition.

I know someone who has a 1958 16' Lonestar Runabout Speedboat who needs a windshield.

Comparing the two is out off the question. He is located in Alaska and I am down in the lower 50. What is the chance of them being universal?

  1. It will depend on the curvature of the bows and the width of the mounting location, a windshield can be cut with a saber saw and a very fine tooth blade but the windshield should be taped on both side's and extreme care should be taken. and very slow. you can go to a automotive Paint supplier and get some 3M protective tape, it is a very thick Masking tape.

    (NO Duck tape).

because the windshield is Old and brittle I would advise against cutting, Hope it fit;s

  2. I deal with older boats everyday, but to think you will be able to place a windshield from one to another is not far off. I am not sure if you are selling or what,  but the make(s) of the boat are almost identical. Like a escort and a cavalier, but would the windshields work on these No. It might work with some cut and pasting, but a clean fit more then likly not.
