  1. They have the same effect in the end, you will become intoxicated, except for the liquids in the list that are not a form of alcohol, such as the cranberry juice and lemonade. They health effects are different. Some say that wine can help prevent cancer and other illnesses, although there is no definite evidence.

  2. I think all have same affect but some are stronger

  3. There are two ways about:

    1. Try all of them (preferably not in one evening) and wright your impression of each.

    2. After that get a book, like "EVERYDAY DRINKING" by Kingsley Amis and compare notes.

  4. all have the same effect, however some may hit faster than others

  5. If it is a cheap wine you will get a huge headache. If you mix any of the liqueurs with soda this too will give you a headache..

You can use any of the above for cooking

Actually if you drink any of them to the point of getting wasted you will get a headache, be sick etc.

  6. Each alcoholic beverage in the aforementioned, has varying levels of alcohol.  Drinking 10 ounces of Champagne each day will probably not harm you in any way, but drinking 10 ounces of Bourbon a day will probably land you in an early grave from liver failure.  Your question is rather vague and spotted with drinks that dont gel with the subject. Cranberry Juice? Lemonade?  What is that?  Like anything, moderation is the formula for healthy living.

  7. Here are some VERY general definitions

Wine - Drink made from fermented grapes

Beer - Drink made from fermented grains

Vodka - Spirit made from distilled from many different types of starches (potato, grain, etc)

Rum - Spirit made from distilling sugar cane

Gin - Spirit made from distilling Juniper berries

Tequila - Spirit made from distilling the blue agave plant

Whiskey (Bourbon and Scotch)- Spirit made from distilling grains. Bourbon gets aged in oak barrels that have been fired and charred on the inside, giving it a bit more of a harsh feel.

Brandy/Cognac - Spirit made from distilling grapes. Cognac is a type of Brandy that comes from the Cognac region of France (it also has to follow very specific guidelines)

Champagne - Sparkling wine which comes from the Champagne region of France (it also has to follow very specific guidelines). Immediately prior to bottling, extra yeast is added to the wine, then the bottle is corked closed trapping all the carbonation in the bottle (carbonation is a byproduct of fermentation). That causes the bubbles.

All the above have a wide variety of grades which can affect the quality. How long they are aged, in what barrels they are aged, how many times distilled, and what region they are made are the main distinctions that will distinguish different styles of similar alcohols.

Lemonade - Take lemon, squeeze and add sugar=lemonade.

Booze is a very broad term that simply refers to alcoholic beverages.

    Hope it helps.

  8. How did you get cranberry juice

    and lemonade
