  1. The other suggestions are great and here is one more. I travel a lot and buy my daughter bottles of local wines. I bought a wine tasteing kit so she and her friends could do a blind taste test and rate all the wines according to the score cards provided.

How about "wine in a box" for a laugh?

  2. My top suggestions would be a bottle of wine, wine glasses (something unique like port sippers would be fun), a subscription to Wine Spectator magazine, a wine opener, wine refrigerator, or wine decanter.

A great place to get specific ideas is:  http://www.cheers2wine.com/gifts-for-win...

  3. If you're in London, take him to Vinopolis (the wine museum - www.vinopolis.co.uk) for a wine-tasting course, which is fun for wine buffs, and educational for those who don't know so much!

If you're not in London, why not get him a nice book on wine tasting, with a voucher for a nice wine shop near you?

Or a set of nice wine glasses?

  4. How about a day of wine tasting or vineyard tour? You can even rent your own vine. Loads of great gift ideas on this website :-)

  5. - Wine books

    - Corkscrews

    - wine racks: I got a nice stackable set from Pier 1 and another from Bed+Bath that fit a small corner of the wine cellar (aka basement laundry room)

Find a nice bottle that's upline from something he drinks normally

    - Cork replacement tools

    - Winery tours

    - Wine of the month club (depends on your state)

    - glassware

    - label removal kit (for saving and making notes)

    - cork collecting kits

    - wine classes, usually offered by community colleges and wineries

  6. In my experience, rather then a book on wine, or a silver plated cork or crystal goblet...most Dads would rather just have a REALLY good bottle of wine

    Prices start from £25.

  7. Go to " Wine Insider " to buy wine online or " Wine Enthusiast " online for Wine related equipment.

Amazon.com sells a really nifty " Oster 4207 Electric Corkscrew Opener " for $ 19.97. I understand that this is a great item which really opens wine automatically & is a great conversation piece at a party, etc.

I presume that  you are a daughter whose Dad is probably very proud of you based upon your apparent effort to find a nice gift for him.

    Good Luck

  8. liquour chocolates? these are available in the shape of wine bottles.very small though. but a nice gift i suppose

  9. I'd get him a wine making kit personally.  There's no greater way to learn about beer/wine/spirits IMO than to make them yourself.  Not to mention it's something you could do together if you so desired.

Might be a tad pricey but it's pretty reasonable considering you wind up with 5 gallons of wine.

I do all of my ordering through this company, they're all very friendly and knowledgeable and better yet you can actually call them up and talk to a human which is nice.

  10. Chateau Latour 67'
