  1. your baby will not get drunk or be hurt from  one glass of wine such a small amount will be in your breast milk just try to limit it to two glasses

  2. It leaves your breast milk at the same rate as it leaves your blood stream - as soon as you don't feel the physical effects of alcohol, it is ok to breastfeed.  There's no need to pump in the meantime, unless you are going to be drinking a lot, and not bfing in the meantime.  One or two glasses shouldn't make a difference.

  3. I would pump out as much as possible for at least one or two feedings and then sure have a glass of wine. I was told it was ok to even breasfeed as long as I only had one glass and it was with dinner. Good luck.

  4. It is ok to have one alcoholic beverage every now and then while breastfeeding. I am not sure how long it takes to get out of your system (and your breastmilk), but my doc gave me the ok to drink a glass of wine every other day. He said it would not effect the baby. You may want to check with your pediatrician or your doctor if you are worried though.

  5. It is totally fine to have a glass of wine or champagne while breastfeeding. One glass will not effect your milk. But 3 or more will. You will have to wait at least 2hrs before nursing if you go over board with the drinking. Or just pump and dump. Whatever method you feel comfortable with...
