I was doing a little research on which martial arts I'd like to do and it turns out that the closest one to me and what appears to be the best ( that's near me of course, I know there isn't a 'best' martial art) school is one that teaches Wing Chun.

Well anyway the instructor there is someone by the name of Keith Mazza. My question is, is Wing Chun a good martial art to start with and does anyone know the legitimacy of this instructor

  2. Wing chun is a hemorrhoid of Hung gar.

  3. Hello Jimmy,

In my opinion, i would suggest you to take up Wing Chun and i am saying that because this martial art is a Kung Fu system that combines attack and defense simultaneously. When somebody try to punch you, you will block his punch (straight or hook) with the one hand and with the other hand you will hit him on his face or breast or kick him. Also, in Wing Chun you learn many kicks, blocks and ground techniques.. I don't know about his legitimacy..

    Good Luck!!

I found a useful web page with many information about Wing Chun 's history, techniques, forms, videos, movies etc. Go to http://www.wing-chun.ws

  4. ok Wing Chung is a great starter martial art to start with it just depends on where u want to go with it. but my best suggestion is to go with some judo or maybe a bit more rounded with some Muy Thai seeing asthey dont take as long to master and are a bit more well brutal. i took 4 yrs of Muy Thai and well wow is all i have to say... another good one Gracie Jujitsu. or Brazilian. i also have 3 yrs Brazilian jujitsu and 2 yrs Gracie plus it all really depends on how and wat u r going to use it for. I'm training for MMA so im trying to be as well rounded as possible so hey wherever ur going with it give it a shot.
