Winning the Grade A1 420 metres flat to get Oran Ice more than a hat-trick
The highlight entry for the Grade A1 420 metres flat race at Peterborough is the three-year-old brindle hound, Oran Ice. The race will be held over 420 metres flat on Wednesday, 11th July. Sharing the track with Oran Ice are, Monleek Mayhem, Knockrour
Pele, Marazion Blaze, Harry Up and Mays Valley. The winner of the race will get to take home the £98 prize money.
Kinloch Brae’s three-year-old son cracked into the new season on 7th January in the Grade A2 420 metres flat race at Peterborough. After leashing out from the second gate, the pace of the three-year-old got obscured and he ended up missing the
race by 1 ¾ lengths.
The favourite entry, Glatton Guy, won the race in 25.85 seconds.
The three-year-old celebrated the first success of the new season on 20th January in the Grade A2 420 metres flat. The favourite entrant did get bumped initially but then led for the distance that remained and made it to the other end of the wire
in 26.23 seconds.
Finishing the closest after leaping through the five lengths gap was, Ciaras Crystal.
His last three races are neatly lined up as a hat-trick.
Out of b***h, Oran Lady, the three-year-old won the Grade A2 BNI Posh Business Stakes on 20th June, 2012 at Peterborough over 420 metres. Leading from the fourth slot, Oran Ice grabbed the race in 25.91 seconds while defeating the runner-up, Southoe
Manx, by 3 ¼ lengths.
The second leg of the hat-trick for the L. Steward trained was in the Grade A2 420 metres flat race at Peterborough. Leading through almost the half way got Oran Ice the race in 25.80 seconds along with the margin of 2 ¼ lengths.
Settling as the runner-up of the race was, Glen To Glen who reached the other end of the wire in 25.98 seconds.
On 4th July, the three-year-old won the Grade A1 420 metres flat race at Peterborough. On the track of five, he was crowded initially but then did not take long to become the undisputed leader, timing the track distance in 25.56 seconds.
If Oran Ice will successfully extend the hat-trick or will have to hold back on it will break soon.
