  1. No, there will be a celebration and some wings fans will be there so you will get to hear some celebration but its just not the same at home. Too bad the wings aren't home tonight! They rock! GO WINGS!

  2. There will be a snow storm of confetti when the REDBIRD lands in Detroit.

  3. I was a season ticket holder in Buffalo when Dallas won the 99 Cup at HSBC arena.  There was no confetti, but the fans stayed long after Dallas had paraded around with the Cup.  It was mostly cheers, There were very few boos.  Buffalo fans love seeing the Stanley Cup hoisted because Philadelphia hoisted the cup in Buffalo in 1975!

The funny thing is that it was about an hour before people figured what was under Ruff's craw, they were all too mesmorized by Stanley.

  4. dunno...

that would suck though, all the fans would be booing.

hmph never thought of that before.

  5. Not usually as big a celebration, the fans still cheer because it is still the Cup.  It may be the only chance some of them ever get to see it live.

It's been a while since the Cup was won on the road (2000) so it's about time.

If it happens, it will only be the 3rd time Detroit has won it on the road (1936 in Toronto and 1998 in DC are the others)

The ONLY person who makes money on a game #7 is Mike Ilitch.

    - the referees for that game are paid regardless of whether it happens

    - television money has already been paid

    - the players get paid by the series whether it's 4 games or 7 games

    - no extra advertising revenie

    - no extra TV revenue

    - no money for the other 29 owners

Philadelphia had home ice in 1997.  They had 103 points that season, Detroit had 94. Detroit won it at home.

  6. This shouldn't concern you. Bettman wants to bring game 7 back to Detroit for the win in overtime.

It is not in the script of the WCW, err, NHL for the Wings to win in Pittsburgh. There is more money to make for Bettman and his chronies if they stretch it to game 7.

  7. they won it on the road in 97 to because they swept philly

  8. I doubt it.

  9. I think it depends on the the arena if they want to do it or not. I would say yes because there's a lot of away team fans too. and it would be boring if there was nothing going on, especially for the away team and fans.

  10. I'm pretty sure it does.

  11. If you consider cups of beer from Pens fans 'confetti', then yes.If you consider an empty arena to accept it raucous, then yes.

  12. who cares the home team will wIn so now you will never no
