Winston Churchill I like pigs quote?

Anyone have any idea about the real underlying meaning of this Winston Churchill quote: "I like pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals."

  1. He liked pigs. He collected pig memorabilia. He would take his grandson out to his farm .. where he raised all sorts of animals .. especially pigs.

    There is no deeper meaning to this quote .. he genuinely like pigs.

    Though it is probably safe to assume Churchill, as a politician, encountered many dogs and cats .. those flattering and those arrogant. But this quote is from his autobiography and are words he once said to his grandson on the farm.
