Would a Wintec bridle fit an Irish Draft? Are there any other brands of English synthetic bridles?

  1. I believe that wintec only offers bridles up to a full/horse size. I'm fairly certain that they don't offer them oversize (I didn't find it in a quick internet search anyway). The only options I know of for an english oversize bridle would be to go with leather or nylon. If you're planning on showing...then leather is the only option. You can always get a wintec full size bridle and try it on her and see what does and does not fit. You may get away with only needing a larger browband for example, without knowing how big your horse is. I've had 3 irish drafts, a 16.1 gelding that took a horse size bridle, a 17.0 hand mare that only needed a larger browband (although the noseband was on it's last hole) and my 18.0 hand man with an oversize all the way. So it may just depend

  2. I am unsure on the wintec bridle size, but if you are looking for a cheap oversize bridle, pick up a gatsby brand one.  They sell on ebay for as low as 10 dollars sometimes.  Sure the leather is inexpensive, however it was soft and supple right out of the package, and it looked terrific on my Clydesdale!
