  1. 1. The game happenign is true although I dont think they have a location set in stone except the city of Chicago.

    2. Original 6 matchup, my favorite team vs a team with up and coming stars who I think will compete for the Central next year, h**l yes.

    3. Wrigley is good for baseball, but only because of its history.  It is a terrible facility.  It is too old and worn out. Have it at Soldier field or even the White Sox park.

    4. I would like to see them stick with an old timey feel. Maybe Montreal and Detroit.  I was really hoping they would do a Rangers Wings game at Yankee Stadium.

  2. 1.Yes, Im not sure if it will play out but yea it sounds good.

    2. Well im from Dallas so for me I would want the Stars and LA because it would help boost the hockey presence in the South but I know the NHL right now needs more than that to get its popularity back so yea I can go for it.

    3. Well I dont know too much about wrigley, but I have heard its trashy and old so probably not. I think the whole football stadium idea played out very well this year and I think it would be good to stick with that.

    4. I think two Canadian teams like montreal and toronto is a good thought and try to include a different teams each year to help aid each organization with their fan population that might have been lost during the strike.

  3. 1. No, I don't. I've also heard rumors for Wings/Rangers at Yankeee Stadium and Wings/Leafs outdoors.

    2. I'd love to see any outdoor game involving 2 original 6 teams.

    3. Wrigley? Not so much.

    4. Wings/Leafs outdoors @ The Big House in Ann Arbor. Precede that game with Michigan vs. Michigan State college hockey. Helluva matchup for any hockey fan.

  4. 1.No I've heard the rumor and I think it's a big lie.

    2. I'd like to see  any of the original 6 teams so yeah.

    3. I guess so.  Does the location really matter?

    4. The Penguins and the Sharks at the Jungle in Cincinnati Ohio.

    Thnx~~~~~~

  5. No i don't think its true its still not set could happen but i doubt it.

I wouldn't hate it but i would prefer it in the NY area so i can go and see it

I guess, i would like to see it at the old Yankees stadium.

I would like to see the NY Rangers v.s The NJ Devils.

  6. 1. I think it is going to happen based on city hall rumours around here.

    2. Very happy of team choices.

    3. Would much rather see it played in Soldier Field. Bigger venue, right next to the lake, and better locale. Wrigleyville is impossible to park in (no lots) and congested small area.

    4. 2009... Canadiens vs Maple Leafs

  7. I like that matchup but i hope not. hockey shouldn't be played at baseball stadiums...but i guess wrigley's would be better than the desecration of yankee stadium. awesome. i almost died when i heard bettman was trying to pursue that classic as the last game at yankee stadium. still shaking my head.

yupp. 66666666!!! lol. imagine the young blackhawks and old seasoned redwings. it'd be great to see chelly still be playing the game.

    3. not really. scott d has a good answer. anything is better than yankee stadium.

    4. habs and leafs!!!!!! at the old forum, or at maple leafs gardens!!!...i don't know, where else would they have it at the the sky dome/rogers center. ew.

"I've heard that the Penguins and Flyers are kicking around the idea of playing one outdoor game every season at Beaver Stadium in Happy Valley. That would be pretty cool. That would draw over 100,000 every year"

i heard that too, as a rumour. nothing solid. but they wanted to do something between the two organisations. if they did, i'd watch every game.

  8. 1. The New York Rangers had Rumored that they will play Boston Bruins at Yaknee Stadium. Any rumor could either be true/false.

    2. I love Detroit and Chicago would be a good rivalry at the Winter Classic.

    3. Sorry, but its better than Ford Field! ;)

    4. San Jose vs. Anaheim... The Superdome in Lousiana!

  9. 1.  Sure, why not.  Especially if the Wings win the Cup, what better team to have in a league showcase.

    2.  The Blackhawks certainly wouldn't be my first choice.  Maybe the NHL could make the winter classic a matchup of the previous year's finals.  Since Eastern teams only play Western teams once a season, if at all, that would be pretty cool.

    3.  I wouldn't pick Wrigley.  I would put it at Soldier Field.

    4.  I've heard that the Penguins and Flyers are kicking around the idea of playing one outdoor game every season at Beaver Stadium in Happy Valley.  That would be pretty cool.  That would draw over 100,000 every year.

  10. 1. Do you think the rumor that Chicago and Detroit will play at Wrigley Field next January is true?

I think it's true only because I'm a very optimistic and hopeful person.

    2. Would you be happy with the choice of teams for this game?

Yes, very happy seeing as I know Chicago because I used to live there and because I love the Red Wings. I could also very easily travel to Chicago to see the game.

    3. Would you be happy with the choice of Stadiums for this game?

I'd rather them play in Soldier Field than in Wrigley Field, but ultimately I'd rather have Detroit host Chicago at the Big House in Ann Arbor.

    4. What match-up would you like to see in 2009 (or later) and at what Stadium?

If the Red Wings aren't in this next one, I'd definitely like to see them in one later and hosting it at the Big House so 111,000 people can be there watching. That would be amazing.

  11. 1) It is a very good possibility

    2) Two traditional rivals and original six teams, whats not to like?

    3) Considering the history behing Wrigley, you really can't beat it.

    4) Though I am not a fan of either team, I liked the idea of a Pittsburgh/Philly game at Beaver Stadium in State College, PA.

  12. The Southern teams won't work well outdoors for a winter classic.  I'd like to see the games locations alternate U.S. and Canada--one year played in the U.S., like last year, and the next year played in Canada.

  13. 1) more than others

    2) yes good original 6 teams, hawks need to get there fanbase back

3)On Lake Michigan would be cool

4)Quebec vs Winnipeg anywhere in Canada
