Winter Jacket Concern ?

Alright, so I saw a peacoat from Guess and I want it to serve as my winter jacket. My only problem is if a Peacoat would be appropriate to wear throughout all of winter. I live in New York and it gets very cold in the winter so I was just wondering if a peacoat would be warm enough to tackle the harshness of the winter. Thank You.

probably not. and you wouldnt really be able to fit a jacket underneath would you?
