Winter Vacation; Portugal, Galicia, & Morocco?

I came up with an itinerary for my winter vacation, but i am not sure about the weather and crowds in the places i am visiting. I will be visiting Portugal, Galicia, and northern Morocco for 2 weeks, in late December and early January. And i dont know what the weather will be like. I heard that it could get cold in Morocco during the winter, but is it warmer around the coast, because i will only be visiting Tangier, Rabat, and Casablanca? I am also worried about the whether inn Galicia, as I am unfamiliar with that region of spain. Will there be crowds in these places during winter? Also, it would be helpful if anyone knows if there are any muslim holidays during the time that i will be visiting, becuase i would hate to go to Morocco when all the stores are closed.

Thanks

  1. Well, it's Winter in all those places, much milder in Morocco, then Portugal and a bit harsh in Gallicia since it's the region in Spain where it rains the most. It can also be cold but never below 0 celsius.

In Portugal depends where you're going, milder in the south, rainier and colder in the north, but even though it's normal to rain and probably that it would be cold there can be many days of excellent weather, Portugal is the european country with the highest number of sunny days per year.

In Morocco it can also be cold but in the coast nothing below 10, 12 celsius.

If you're going near Christmas you can expect higher prices and more people (I wouldn't say crowds) in Portugal and Spain.

In Moroco all things should be normal.

  2. Morocco for sure!

    have fun! :o)

  3. PORTUGAL DEFF WHOOT WHOOT!
