I was thinking they were like browns and soft pinks and red, ya know but what are some really cute wedding color ideas?? We were gonna have the wedding on 12-6-08 but(Thank God!!) before we sent the invites We changed the date to 1-3-09..So we live in Arkansas which probably means it won't snow but u definably never know with Arkansas..What colors do you think would be pretty? Also do u think throwing fake snow at me and my future husband would be a good idea since it's Winter u know instead of birdseed or blowing bubbles?

  1. Hi.  I like any of the "blues" (icy blue, royal blue, navy blue) with silver and white.  I think those colors look so nice for a winter wedding, no matter where you live!

I would stay away from red since it will be right after Christmas.  The browns and pinks could go at anytime of the year.  But, if it was me, I would go with a blue, silver, white.

  2. That gorgeous, romantic plum purple would be great with white! It's wintery, yet still warmer in keeping with AK. Oh and silver too. White, silver, and plum.

    Congratulations by the way!

  3. It looks like darker greens will be popular for winter weddings this year, so that's a thought.  There are some lovely shades of green.  But really, any darker color is appropriate for a winter wedding.  Maybe a deep blue or even a red wine color.

As for throwing fake snow...it sounds cute, but what would the fake snow be made out of?

  4. It's YOUR wedding and YOUR day!! Pick whatever colors you want. My soon to be sister-in-law is having her girls each wear a color of the rainbow and she's getting married the end of October. So my opinion is when it comes to weddings the season doesnt matter only you! Congratulations!

  5. Baby Blue, White, Pastel colors like green, pink.

  6. I think you should go with your browns/pinks colour scheme.  Just because it's winter doesn't mean the season must dictate the colour scheme (i.e. sliver and blues).

Go with what you would like to see, regardless of the weather outside!

  7. light blue, silver, and white will be the "easiest" colors to work with as there are a tons of items you can order with that color scheme.

However, you certainly aren't limited to that.  I think browns with soft pinks would look lovely, as long as you use fabrics and textures that are heavier for the dresses and decorations.  I light chiffon pink dress would not look wintery, however, a dress with some velvet, heavy satin, etc. would.

    Good Luck & enjoy

  8. we're having crystal blue to royal blue hues at our winter wedding.  but we live in alaska and it most definitely will be snowy!  try doing something cheery.  include lots of glistening things.  purples are nice too.

  9. I like light blue and white together for winter weddings, but you can pick whatever you like.  I think the snow idea is really cute!  I am getting married in a month and we bought really long sparklers instead of birdseed or bubbles.  That could make a winter wedding feel really warm and they look great for pictures!
