im planning on having a december winter wedding. i wanted to do something different from everyones spring/summer weddings. i dont want to do the blue and silver and xmas colors cause its a wedding not a holida party haha. i want my bouquet to be my fav flowers amaryllis in white and stephanotis with peach roses. now i dont think it looks winter-y but i think the white and peach shows a lil warmth and the colors are truely me. so i was trying to think of a color theme and im leaning towards the peach dresses for the girls. do you think this would be a good choice and if so what accent color do i do with it???

  1. Peach generally tends to be a spring wedding color. I would do a black/white/gold wedding and have the bridesmaids wear black dresses with gold accents such as a sash. If your heart is set on the peach/white as it sounds it is - then you should stick with 2 or 3 other colors in the same pale color palette. A  matching lavender and green are good options for accents. Another idea could be using peach/white/silver or peach/white/gold. The gold or silver colors would tie in the winter season to the colors very nicely.

  2. To me peach isn't a winter color. I would stick with navy blue, or hunter green, or you could make the color scheme a simple and classy red, black, and white?

  3. i like that idea! peach would be a great color in winter, because it will bring some warmth!

i would say peach and white are two fine colors... :D

but u may want to think about have the wedding in january, because december is a stressful time for people's finances and schedules... so i would pick a month after everything has settled down

  4. sorry i think ur better of with something like red and black

  5. I think you should use any colors that YOU like Not about the season colors or anything like that. Im getting married in June and my colors are Brown and Pink and I get TONS of people who tells me those colors arent June. Well guess what....I DONT CARE! I AM USING COLORS THAT I LIKE, NOT ABOUT THE SEASON OR HOLIDAY!!

So I think you should use the colors that you like! Dont worry what people will think. And your right. Its a WEDDING not a HOLIDAY party..lol

Im not sure what color would go with a peach. Maybe a light purple!?!

  6. NO PEACH IS A BAD COLOR!LOL

  7. I'm also having a wedding in December. First of all whatever you truly love should be your wedding colors. But, as all brides usually do, I have already changed my colors twice. First I thought lots deep pomegranate royal red roses(the bridesmaids would wear this also), ivory, and hints of black. Like the candle holders, different prints..... the black would mainly come from the guys tuxes and just be accent colors. I didn't want it to be a x-mas party either. But then the more I looked and thought about it, I do LUV the icy blues, silvery grays and platinum, mixed with white. Especially when I saw pics of Christina Aguilara's wedding pics. I didn't love all of her ideas, but some stuck with me. She also used the light pink(peachy) bridesmaid dresses and accented that in her flowers throughout the wedding. Believe me, ur gonna have alot to think about. The only input my fiance has said is that he was gonna be there:) LOL!!! I have asked everyone's opinion, but ultimately it's my decision. JUST LIKE IT'S YOURS! GOOD LUCK.

  8. I think peach dresses will be really hard to come by in the winter season.  What about a champagne color for the dresses?  You could still use peach roses.

  9. hm, i usually think of peach as a fall color more than winter.

i say you should make it purple. =)

  10. You should  make the colors of the wedding red, dark blue, green, and white and silver.

  11. I've seen it done in red and white which was amazing.  Any color as long as it is striking and not gaudy against the white would be great; but think it should be xmas colors.  Dark and light peach would look pretty too; just be sure not to do pink; too much pepto bismolly...  lol

  12. The peach would warm up a neutral palette of champagne and taupe or copper or a very dark brown, or you could do gold with peach as an accent. Peach is a bit to summery in most cases but pairing it with the right colors it would be lovely and add warmth to a winter wedding.

  13. you should definately go with the colors that represent you!  if you are planning on white and peach, you may think about adding chocolate brown with gold accents.....black may work as well (as long as it doesnt look too much like halloween).  good luck to you!
